Mitt Romney Front-runner for 2016! [AUDIO]
Mitt Romney’s been back in the spotlight recently with the release of the Netflix movie “Mitt.” Now Romney appears to be the front-runner for the GOP in 2016 – at least in New Hampshire. A Purple Strategies poll showed him in the lead with 25 points. The nearest contenders were Rand Paul at 18 and Chris Christie at 17.
“I’ve predicted that this might happen and it appears that it might be in the cards!” declared Morning Answer co-host Brian Whitman.
“Well, last week an anonymous source within the RNC allegedly told Buzzfeed that ‘Donors are saying we wish we had Mitt again’,” reported co-host Elisha Krauss. “I think high-level donors, you know, really the old-fashioned establishment Republicans were looking forward to Chris Christie running in 2016 and throwing their weight and their money behind him.”
“—but I don’t think Chris Christie’s been mortally wounded,” interjected Brian.
“I agree with you Brian, I think that people like Chris Matthews and Ed Shultz would loooove it if he was mortally wounded, but he has not been. But I think that’s where you’re going to see a division of those establishment people, those big donors from California, New York, Massachusetts , etc. rooting for people like Christie where the average voter like me are like, ‘No, we need someone more conservative.’,” pointed out Elisha.
