30-year-old friend Tommy Lasorda told a West Palm Beach television station that he’s not surprised that Clippers owner Donald Sterling made racist comments and that he shouldn’t have said it. He also told WPBF that he doesn’t wish V. Stiviano, with whom Sterling was speaking to on the recording any bad luck. Lasorda added that “but I hope she gets hit with a car.”
In regards to the comments, Elisha Krauss pointed out “notice how he said he shouldn’t be saying that stuff. I feel like that’s Tommy Lasorda saying he can think it, he just shouldn’t say it.”
“What does that make Lasorda?” added co-host Brian Whitman. “He’s [Sterling] your friend for thirty years and he doesn’t surprise you that he says those things!” recounted an agitated Brian. “And then he saves his wrath for the girl – the mistress… who he wants to get hit by car. What does this say about Tommy Lasorda? It says, quite frankly and quite candidly, that he’s every bit as despicable as Donald Sterling! So how bout we take down Tommy Lasorda’s jersey from Dodger Stadium and how bout we ban Tommy Lasorda from major league baseball like we did to Pete Rose?!!”
“May be a little early for that,” calmly replied Ben Shapiro. “I mean Barack Obama did sit in Jeramiah’s church for 20 years.”
