Mike Huckabee Takes 2016 Lead in Iowa Poll [AUDIO]

A new poll puts Mike Huckabee at the top of the 2016 Iowa poll.  The WPA Opinion Research poll indicated that if the caucuses were held today, 14% would select Huckabee, 10% Rand Paul and 8% for Governor Scott Walker.

“[Huckabee] said that he’s not running for President – but nonetheless – it just goes to show you the dominance of social conservatives,” pointed out Ben.  “This is why, when the Republican Party says that…we just have to move away from the social conservatives, we have to move away from all these horrible religious folk… if we just got in to this kind of libertarian view where we got away from issues like abortion and same sex marriage and we talked just only about the economy – cause it worked great for President Romney – then if we just continued to do that then we would most certainly win!”

“What I found most interesting was that the candidates were broken down by category,” mentioned Elisha Krauss.  “And Mike Huckabee won in every category that included traditional establishment GOP ---“

“Who won the swimsuit competition!” jokingly interjected Brian Whitman.

“Not Mike Huckabee,” responded Ben.

Elisha continued.  “Tea party, very conservative, somewhat conservative and I think this is really important – he won among moderates – and he won more among moderates than Tea Party people!”
