Serious Drought Brings Serious Water Saving Advice from Brian Whitman [AUDIO]

"Serious Drought - Help Save Water!" is plastered on freeway message signs across California.   In the wake of the historic California drought, the Metropolitan Water District has declared a “water supply alert” on Tuesday.  They’re asking people across 5,200 square miles to cut their water usage by 20 percent.  Always one for public service, Morning Answer co-host Brian Whitman offered co-host Ben Shapiro a few tips on reducing water waste.

One suggestion he offered was to take a bath instead of a shower because he claims it uses less water. “You do a bath, you get in there and scrub, scrub, scrub… and then, you actually take a moment, and then you scrub your entire body and then for half a second and it rinses you and—there ya go!” explained Brian.

“Are you recommending that we like, sponge bathe?” responded Ben, “that you basically fill up a water basin and then take a sponge from like Smart and Final and just grab some dishwasher soap and just clean yourself off?  And then get in the backyard like Chris Farley from Tommy Boy and get a hose and just hose yourself off?”
