Elderly Drivers Keeping Licenses Longer, Less Teenagers Getting Licenses
A recent report shows more elderly drivers are hanging on their driver licenses while at the same time less teenagers are getting their licenses.
“What concerns me is that young people don’t seek [the] independence,” commented Morning Answer fill-in host Jeremy Boreing. “ You have stories here about 16, 17, 18, even 19 year olds not seeking the independence that comes from owning their own vehicle or driving their own vehicle. That’s problematic.”
“I’ll tell you something, I agree with you Jeremy, times have changed,” remarked Morning Answer co-host Brian Whitman. “When I was growing up on Staten Island back in New York, there wasn’t one kid, not a kid, who didn’t want his driver license.”
