Nestor Valencia – Mayor, City of Bell – The local Salvation Army in Bell has approached the Mayor with interest in housing 125 of the child immigrants that have been flooding the boarder. Officials estimate that about 57,000 unaccompanied children, mostly from, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras have made the journey to the U.S. border since October. The City Council will discuss the plan later this month.
