Two teens are recovering and one remains in critical condition after being hit by a car in North Hollywood on Wednesday. The crash happened around 1:30pm as at the Magnolia off-ramp from the 170 Freeway.
Authorities say the impact was so intense that it caused the students to actually be launched into the intersection.
The teens are described as 14-year-old girls walking back from a park where they had PE. class, and had been returning to nearby Oakwood School. The driver says he had brake problems, and police are still investigating.
