The Pasadena Police Department will not conduct a criminal or internal affairs investigation following an officer shooting of a pitbull. Just days after the Pasadena City Council shelved a proposed that would have required all pit bulls in the city to be spayed and neutered, an officer had to pull his gun and shoot one pit bull mix and wound two others on Wednesday.
A man had been walking his bike down Fair Oaks Boulevard when the three dogs charged him from across the street, taking a few small chunks from the man's legs. When officers arrived, the dogs turned their attention and started going after the officers, and that's when the shooting happened. Department officials say there will be an administrative review on the use of force.
