Poor Air Quality Blamed on Lack of Rain

All the great weather in Los Angeles is causing us to have poor air quality.  A high-pressure zone off the West Coast has been warding off rain for months and hasworsened air pollution across California.

The dingy looking ring around the city is full of fine particles, a fraction of the width of a human hair, causing health problems for many residents like tightness in their chest, itchy eyes and runny noses.  A 2010 report by the California Air Resources Board estimated that 92-hundred people in the state die prematurely each year because of exposure to fine particle pollution, most of them in Southern California.
