Dozens of police officers have raided several homes in the Silverlake area looking for parole violators and hoping to find clues in the murder of Joesph Gatto. TV news coverage showed officers going towards several homes in the area.
LAPD spokesman Richard French did not confirm a connection to KTLA Channel 5 and would not say how many people were arrested.
Gatto, the father of Assemblyman Mike Gatto was found murdered in his home back in November. Soon after, authorities released a sketch of the suspect. On Tuesday, LAPD officials announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the crime.
