Protests Break Out After Zimmerman Verdict
Protests broke out in several locations across Los Angeles in response to the George Zimmerman verdict.
A group of people gathered near Hollywood and Highland around 8pm on Sunday evening, chanting and holding signs . The group moved south down to Sunset and Cahuenga and at one point some protesters went through the lobby of the W Hotel.
Earlier that evening, protestors made their way out on to the 10 freeway in Mid-City, causing officers to close the road down for about 20 minutes.
Prior to that, about 200 people showed up to protest near Leimert Park.
The majority of the protests were peaceful but police say there were around 6 arrests.
