Suspected LAX shooter Paul Ciancia will remain behind bars after not entering a plea in a San Bernardino county on Wednesday. The Sun reports he spoke in whispers and showed no emotion during the 10 minute hearing at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
U.S. Magistrate Judge David Bristow determined Ciancia was a flight risk and ordered him to remain locked up.
Ciancia could face the death penalty if he is convicted of the shooting rampage and death of a TSA agent at LAX on November 1.
The next hearing is December 18 unless he is indicted by a grand jury.
