Man Killed by Red Line Train in Hollywood

A man is dead after being struck my a Metro Red Line Subway train at the Hollywood and Vine Red Line station.

Emergency crews responded around 5:30am Tuesday morning and found the man dead on arrival.  The incidents leading up to the collision are unknown.

The station remained open by trains had to be single tracked leading to 20 minute delays.  Hollywood Blvd was closed between Vine and Argyle because of the large presence of emergency vehicles and to help with the investigation by the LA County Sherrifs and LA Coroner.
