28-year-old DiCarlo Bennett is in custody after being arrested for allegedly placing dry ice bombs at Terminal 2 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX.
LAPD says Bennett was arrested in Paramount on Tuesday and booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center. He's charged with Possession/explosion of a destructive device near an aircraft and is being held on $1 million bail.
Bennett was an employee of Servisair and officials say he took the dry ice from an airplane to make the bombs. One of the devices exploded in an employee restroom in Terminal 2 on Sunday night. Another explosion occurred on Monday night around 8:30pm near Gate 148 at the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
Police do not believe the bombs to be linked to international terrorism and nobody was hurt in any of the blasts.
