Marilyn Edge, the Arizona woman accused of fatally poisoning her two children, wants the death penalty. She told the judge yesterday she would be fine with having her arraignment postponed until October 25th "only if you promise me the death penalty."
The judge set that date but made no such promise.
Edge is accused of killing 13-year-old Jaelen and ten-year-old Faith at a hotel in Santa Ana last Saturday. She was arrested after she deliberately crashed her car at a nearby business in an attempt to kill herself. Prosecutors say Edge promised her kids they were going to Disneyland, but went to the hotel and poisoned them instead.
