California Obamacare provider Anthem Blue Cross has a lot of 'splaining to do! The provider can't seem to determine if people have paid, if they're covered or much of anything at all.
Our friends at Twitchy compiled a number of tweets directed at Anthem's accounts as well as Covered California's profile. Some of the issues include:
- People being on hold for 1-2 hours, and some being hung up on. One woman reports dropping her kids off at karate, picking them up, getting Chinese food and at the grocery store all while she was still on hold.
- A woman claims her account was debited $300 but was told she wasn't a member.
- Another person said they were out $1200 and still no insurance
- A man said he signed up in November through CoveredCA.com, the California Obamacare website, and paid his first premium twice in December - and he's STILL not a member. He said insurer says "wait it out"
Twitchy also reports Fred Ponzlov of Long Beach held a one man protest after he was denied care despite buying insurance through the Covered California website.
"I'm not a glitch, I'm a human being," he said.
